We are currently looking for a Senior Legal Counsel to join our East Europe Legal Team from Warsaw, part of our subsidiary MYT POLAND in Poland.
Your role will encompass:
- Provide high level, responsive legal advice and support to the Polish and East-European Business Development and Construction Teams.
- Oversee the legal assistance to M&A transactions, in coordination with external law firms, and support the Development Team in business development, origination, permitting, M&A, corporate transactions, primarily in Poland and Eastern Europe.
- Draft, review, and organize execution of notarial deeds relevant to project lands and corporate transactions.
- Review, draft, and negotiate EPC and O&M contracts, as well as agreements related to the supply chain (e.g., procurement of equipment, service contracts, general terms and conditions for the supply of goods), ensuring client interests are protected in collaboration with both internal teams and external stakeholders
- Advise stakeholders on legal frameworks, regulations, and compliance matters relevant to development and construction and energy sectors
- Collaborate with external law firms to address and resolve complex legal matters; liaise with them to obtain fee quotes and manage and approve legal spend within agreed parameters
- Contract deadlines and relevant actions.
- Advise on energy projects at all stages, working alongside other development and construction legal counsels in Europe, and in coordination with Milan office Legal Team
What you bring to the role:
- Lawyer qualified in Poland and member of the relevant professional body (Bar Association)
- At least 7-8 years’ experience in the solar/renewable energy sector in Poland (and in other East Europe countries desirable) either in-house or within law firms advising energy clients
- Detailed knowledge of solar PV development, acquisitions and disposals, EPC, OM contracts in Poland and elsewhere in East Europe
- Fluent in Polish and English
- Strong technical expertise in renewable energy project development, acquisitions and disposals, EPC and O&M contracts, ideally with exposure to both Polish and broader European markets and cross-border transactions
- Proven ability to manage external legal counsel, including obtaining fee quotes and overseeing legal spend within predefined budgets
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with a strong focus on collaboration and cross-functional coordination
