About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an O&M Laborer to join our team in our team. Reporting to the O&M Project Manager, you will work as part of a site-based team responsible for maintaining a safe, clean and efficient operating environment. This hands-on role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors and takes pride in maintaining high safety and quality standards.
Location: Suitable for someone based in Wagga Wagga. The role requires frequent travel to our solar farm’s sites located in Wagga Wagga, Wyalong, Junee and Corowa. A work vehicle is provided for work use only.
Contract Type: Full time, fixed term (12 months)
As an O&M Laborer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Perform grounds maintenance, vegetation management and general site upkeep
- Assist with routine inspections and basic maintenance activities
- Operate vehicles, tools and equipment safely and in accordance with site requirements
- Support the maintenance of solar farm infrastructure and associated facilities
- Assist with material handling, stock control and storage management
- Complete site checklists, inspections and maintenance records
- Identify and report hazards, defects and maintenance issues
- Follow all safety, environmental and site procedures
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Previous experience in labouring, maintenance, construction, landscaping, agriculture, utilities or a similar field-based environment
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic, reliability and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Essential Requirements
- Current Driver Licence
- Construction White Card (desirable)
