We are currently looking for a Machine Shop Engineer to join our team, based in Volos, Greece.
By joining this role, you’ll play a key role in supporting and optimizing machine shop operations, ensuring efficient production processes, high-quality output, and reliable equipment performance.
Your role will encompass:
• Monitoring and supporting the operation of CNC machines and conventional machine tools (lathes, milling machines, drills).
• Programming and optimizing machining processes on CNC machines (3, 4, and 5 axes).
• Providing technical support to the programming team, including troubleshooting and program optimization.
• Supporting assembly/disassembly activities of mechanical components within the workshop.
• Analyzing and resolving technical issues arising during production.
• Optimizing machining times and improving overall productivity.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams (maintenance, welding, assembly, quality control, warehouse, procurement) to ensure smooth production flow and avoid delays.
• Ensuring quality control and dimensional accuracy of manufactured parts according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Contributing to continuous improvement of equipment, tools, and production processes.
• Ensuring compliance with safety procedures and operational standards.
What you bring to the role:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in a similar role within a machine shop or industrial environment.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical design and ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
• Good understanding of machining processes and manufacturing technologies.
• Knowledge of materials technology and measuring instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.).
• Experience with CAD/CAM software.
• Understanding of CNC machining principles and conventional machine tools.
• Strong problem-solving skills in a production environment.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
