About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an O&M Laborer to join our team in Moura, QLD.
Location: Site based role – Moura, QLD
Contract Type: Full time, maximum term
Reporting to the O&M Site Supervisor, you will be a valuable member of the team responsible for contributing to the efficient operational and maintenance of the Solar Farm asset by undertaking a variety of duties associated with routine inspections, service and maintenance, landscaping and general maintenance.
As an O&M Laborer, your key responsibilities will include:
- Perform grounds maintenance and inspections as directed;
- Perform works on solar farm structure and modules as directed;
- Perform Quality and Safety Inspections as directed;
- Operate light vehicles, ATV, Tractor and plant as directed and in accordance with policies, procedures and legislative requirements;
- Actively participate in and promote Work Health and Safety (follow accepted procedures, raise hazard reports, etc)
- Ensure that works are undertaken in an environmentally responsible manner under direction;
- Preparation for review of monthly progress claims for projects in consultation with project team;
- Collaborate with procurement and O&M team to source and secure required labor, services and equipment;
- Assist in the collection and uploading of project documentation into the Quality Management System
- Highlight areas of potential opportunity and risk
- General PV maintenance
- Supporting onsite Technicians and Supervisor with O&M Maintenance
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Completed relevant trade school or apprenticeship, with appropriate on the job work experience. Relevant construction qualification (preferred).
- Previous outdoor labouring experience incl. using with hand/power tools (essential)
- Operating tractors and hydraulic attachments to tractors
- Working in specific teams, with daily targets of completion
- Lifting, relocating and restocking of materials as well as basic assembly
- Extensive physical duties, manual handling and attention to detail
- HSE: Constant awareness, report risks and hazards. Attend meetings; generate SWMS in consultation.
