We are currently looking for an experienced Surveyor to join the Grid & Digital Solutions department, as part of the Thermal Power & HVDC division of Metlen, for the EGL1 Project, based in Torness.
Your role will encompass:
- Conducting pre-construction topographic surveys to determine property boundaries based on information provided by the client.
- Reviewing and interpreting site plans to ensure compliance with construction plans and specifications.
- Accurately setting out works before construction begins, ensuring clarity and precision.
- Communicating effectively with the site team and subcontractors to ensure a thorough understanding of the provided information.
- Collaborating with designers and engineers to verify the accuracy of plans and drawings.
- Assisting in the supervision and coordination of construction activities on site.
- Maintaining and interpreting site, topographic, and construction drawings.
- Performing quality control checks to ensure compliance with project requirements.
- Producing accurate as-built drawings for O&M folders.
What you bring to the role:
- Degree in Surveying Engineering or a related field.
- 5+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience in setting out and surveying for thermal power plants or similar construction projects.
- Excellent communication, organizational, management, and interpersonal skills.
- Familiarity with AutoCAD, GPS, and surveying equipment.
- Ability to operate in a highly technical or complex project environment.
