We are currently searching for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join our EGL1 Contract Management, as part of the Thermal & HVDC division of Metlen, based in Torness.
Your role will encompass:

Track daily, weekly, and monthly progress of quantitative activities on-site.

Collect and analyse progress data related to subcontractor quantitative work aspects.

Identify delays or bottlenecks in subcontractor works and report to site management.

Collaborate with technical teams to understand requirements and specifications of quantitative works.

Prepare progress reports highlighting achievements, delays, and forecasts related to quantitative works.

Maintain accurate records of daily reports, material deliveries, and manpower statistics.

Attend site meetings and subcontractor coordination meetings to ensure alignment of works and schedules.

Monitor subcontractor adherence to technical quality standards and safety requirements.

Report any technical or quality non-conformance issues to relevant parties for corrective action.
What you bring to the role:

Strong understanding of BoQ, construction cost control, and contract management.

3+ years of work experience, preferably as a quantity surveyor or a site engineer.

Experience in verifying quantities, preparing cost reports, and handling variations.

Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.

Effective communication and collaboration with multi-disciplinary project teams.

Proficiency in cost control software and MS Excel.
