As part of METLEN's continued expansion across Europe, we are launching our Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) business in Germany and are seeking an experienced Tender Manager to lead our tendering activities from our Berlin office.
In this pivotal role, you will manage the full tender lifecycle for utility-scale BESS projects, coordinating cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, competitive, and compliant proposals. You will work closely with Engineering, Procurement, Commercial, Legal, and Project Delivery teams while building strong relationships with clients and key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage end-to-end tender submissions for utility-scale BESS projects.
- Develop winning bid strategies and ensure commercially competitive proposals.
- Coordinate technical, commercial, legal, and procurement inputs.
- Oversee pricing, risk assessment, and tender compliance.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships throughout the bidding process.
- Drive continuous improvement of tender processes, tools, and reporting.
What We're Looking For
- Proven experience managing tenders within the renewable energy, energy storage, EPC, or infrastructure sectors.
- Strong commercial and contractual understanding.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Ability to lead multiple complex bids in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent English required; German language skills are highly desirable.
