For our HV Substation portfolio in Georgia, we are seeking an experienced Construction Manager to oversee the erection and construction of three 3 HV Substation projects, ensuring safe, timely, and high-quality delivery.
The role holds overall construction responsibility across all sites and provides direct supervision and coordination of the Site Managers assigned to each individual project.
Your role will encompass
- Overall responsibility for the construction execution of three HV Substation projects from site mobilization through mechanical completion and handover
- Direct line management and supervision of Site Managers across all project sites
- Ensure construction activities are executed in line with approved schedules, budgets, technical specifications, and contract requirements
- Coordinate closely with Project Management, Engineering, HSE, Quality, and Procurement teams
- Enforce strict compliance with HSE policies, local legislation, and METLEN standards across all sites
- Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigation actions to avoid delays or cost overruns
- Lead construction planning, sequencing, and interface management between subcontractors and disciplines
- Chair regular site coordination and progress meetings
- Review and approve construction methodologies, method statements, and lifting plans
- Ensure high standards of quality control and workmanship, supporting inspections and audits
- Act as the primary construction point of contact with clients, consultants, and subcontractors on site-related matters
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
- Minimum 10 years of construction experience, preferably on HV substations / power or grid projects
- Proven experience in a Construction Manager or Senior Site role, managing multiple sites or large-scale projects
- Strong leadership experience managing Site Managers and construction teams
- Solid knowledge of HV substation erection works, including civil, structural, electrical installation, and commissioning interfaces
- Strong understanding of HSE regulations and construction best practices
- Excellent coordination, communication, and stakeholder management skills
- Fluency in English (Georgian or Russian considered an asset)
- Willingness to travel and be present across multiple project sites in Georgia
