We are currently looking for a Sr. Financial Controller to strengthen our Finance team in the office in Sofia, Bulgaria.  

Your role will encompass:

• ​Develop and implement cost control procedures and systems to monitor and manage expenses across the organization
• Analyze cost variances, identifying areas of improvement and implementing corrective actions to ensure cost targets are met
• Prepare and analyze cost reports, budgets, forecasts, and variance analysis, providing insights and recommendations to senior management
• Collaborate with department heads and project managers to develop and manage project budgets, ensuring accurate tracking of costs and timely reporting
• Review and approve purchase orders, invoices, and expense claims, verifying accuracy and compliance with budgetary guidelines
• Conduct regular cost reviews and cost-benefit analyses to evaluate the effectiveness of existing processes, identify cost-saving opportunities, and support decision-making
• Track and analyze inventory costs
• Manage relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers, negotiating favorable terms and pricing agreements to minimize costs
• Provide financial support and guidance to cross-functional teams, assisting in the development of business cases and investment proposals
• Stay update to changes in cost accounting standards, regulations, and industry trends, ensuring compliance with relevant guidelines and best practices

What you bring to the role: 

• Degree in Finance, or other related fields
• 7+ years’ experience in finance, cost accounting with a focus on cost control and analysis
• Strong knowledge of cost accounting principles, financial analysis techniques and budgeting processes.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting and cost-benefits analysis.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed recommendations
• Ability to work effectively cross functionally and with multi-disciplinary project teams
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines
• Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Effective written and oral communication skills
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Project)
