About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a Site Storeperson to join our team in Edgecumbe New Zealand working on the Tihori Solar Farm (136 MWP).
Location: Site based role – Edgecumbe
Contract Type: Full time, maximum term
Reporting to the Construction Manager, you will be a valuable member of the team responsible for coordinating site deliveries, truck movements, materials receipting, inventory management and warehouse/laydown operations to support the construction of Metlen’s renewable energy projects.
As a Site Storeperson, your key responsibilities will include:
Logistics and Delivery Coordination
- Coordinate site deliveries, collections and material movements.
- Liaise with transport providers, suppliers and delivery drivers.
- Monitor delivery schedules and resolve logistical issues.
Materials Management and Inventory Control
- Receive, inspect and record all incoming materials.
- Maintain inventory, stock levels and material traceability.
- Manage material distribution and resolve discrepancies.
Laydown, Warehouse and Stores Operations
- Maintain storage areas, warehouses and laydown yards.
- Control stock, tools, equipment and project assets.
- Ensure materials are stored safely and correctly identified.
Health, Safety and Quality
- Operate material handling equipment safely.
- Support material inspections and quality compliance.
- Maintain accurate inventory and delivery records.
General Site Maintenance
- Maintain housekeeping, waste management and site presentation.
- Perform minor maintenance and coordinate repairs.
- Monitor site consumables and utility systems.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- High-School Certificate or equivalent qualification (e.g., Trade School, logistics or supply chain qualification)
- Materials receipting and inventory control.
- Truck scheduling and delivery coordination.
- Warehouse and stores management.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
- Attention to detail and record keeping.
- Driver’s license
- Forklift license
- Site Safety card (NZ)
