Job Description: 

METKA ΑΤΕ, as a subsidiary of METLEN, has long-term experience in the infrastructure sector, holding a seventh class contractor’s certificate and now specializes in construction activities, undertaking infrastructure projects such as road construction, certified buildings, railway, marine projects, etc., as well as solid and liquid waste management projects.

We are currently looking for an experienced Site Manager to lead construction activities for the expansion of the existing private port in Agios Nikolaos, Viotia, Greece. The project includes marine works, earthworks and civil works.

The Site Manager will oversee site execution, coordinate teams and subcontractors, and ensure delivery in accordance with project safety, quality, schedule and budget requirements.

Your role will ecompass:

  • Lead and coordinate all site construction activities, including marine works, earthworks and civil works.
  • Coordinate engineering, procurement and construction interfaces to ensure timely availability of drawings, materials and equipment.
  • Manage site teams and subcontractors, setting clear responsibilities, priorities and performance targets.
  • Develop and maintain construction schedules and short-term work plans, allocating labour, equipment and materials effectively.
  • Monitor progress, productivity and costs, identify deviations and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure implementation of health, safety, environmental and quality requirements across site activities.
  • Coordinate construction activities with existing port and industrial operations.
  • Identify and manage construction risks and maintain the project risk register.
  • Lead site coordination meetings and report progress, key issues and resource needs to management.

 

What you bring o the role:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering.
  • At least 15 years of relevant construction experience, including at least 8 years in marine construction.
  • Proven experience in a Site Manager or equivalent leadership role.
  • Experience coordinating earthworks and civil works alongside marine construction activities.
  • Experience in caisson construction would be considered an asset.
  • Strong planning, leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and working knowledge of AutoCAD.
  • Knowledge of MS Project, Primavera or similar planning software would be considered an asset.
  • Fluency in English, both written and spoken.
  • Availability to work on-site in Agios Nikolaos, Viotia.
