Civil Site Engineer
We are currently looking for a Civil Site Engineer to join the Grid & Digital Solutions department, as part of the Thermal Power & HVDC division of Metlen, for the EGL1 Project,
Your role will encompass:
- Supervising and coordinating the daily activities of subcontractors.
- Ensuring work is completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Reviewing and interpreting construction plans and drawings.
- Enforcing site safety regulations and procedures.
- Conducting inspections and quality checks.
- Reporting on progress and issues to Project Managers.
- Supporting Construction Engineering with the development of civil construction work packages.
- Attending and providing input into site constructability review sessions.
- Providing engineering deliverable reviews as and when required.
- Supporting and providing input into scheduling sessions to help develop the Primavera project schedule.
- Tracking and expediting design work package deliverables from external partners.
- Managing and coordinating construction defects identified during construction and handover phases.
- Reviewing and responding to technical queries raised by civil contractors.
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- 1–2 years of experience in construction.
- Experience in supervising and monitoring subcontractors.
- Ability to work on site.
- Experience in industry or energy-related projects.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
