We are currently searching for an Site Electrical Engineer to join your Grid & Digital Solutions department as part of the Thermal Power & HVDC division of Metlen, for the construction of a high-voltage subsation based in Akaltsikhe, Georgia.
Your role will encompass:
- Mark the location of instrument at site according to the drawings (where required)
- Supervise the correct installation
- Record the daily productivity of the subcontractor
- Keep the records in daily basis regarding the installed equipment, the remaining works and the issues preventing from completion
- Communicate any issues regarding the installation to our engineering department and asking for solution, if the solution cannot be given at site
- Ensuring timely delivery of all instrumentation equipment and materials to site.
- Supervising the installation, calibration, and testing of instrumentation systems carried out by subcontractors.
- Coordinating with subcontractors to ensure correct installation of instrumentation devices, wiring, and tubing according to design.
- Implementing quality checks to confirm compliance with specifications, functional requirements, and safety standards.
- Identifying and resolving technical issues related to instrumentation installation and integration with DCS/PLC systems.
- Keeping accurate records of work performed and preparing progress and technical reports.
- Reviewing daily and progress reports submitted by subcontractors.
- Monitoring progress and reporting any deviations from the plan.
- Supporting system readiness activities, participating in walkdowns, and verifying installed quantities and materials.
- Supervise the performance of electrical works.
What you bring to the role:
- University or Technical Degree in Electrical Engineering
- 5+ of experience in electrical construction projects with High Voltage.
- Excellent organizational, communication and interpersonal skills
- Advanced use of Mircosoft office
