We are currently looking for a Senior Project Engineer to join our M Renewables team in Milan, part of our Italian subsidiary. This is a key role for an experienced professional eager to take ownership of complex renewable energy projects, driving execution excellence from development through to commissioning.

Your role will encompass:

• Leading the technical coordination and execution of renewable energy projects across all phases, from early development to final delivery.
• Supporting and partnering with the Project Manager in defining project strategy, timelines, and resource allocation, ensuring delivery on time, within scope, and budget.
• Managing project planning, scheduling, and performance monitoring, proactively identifying risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
• Overseeing site activities, including visits, inspections, and coordination with local stakeholders, contractors, and suppliers.
• Acting as a key interface between engineering, design, procurement, and construction teams to ensure alignment with technical specifications and client requirements.
• Reviewing and validating engineering documentation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and best practices.
• Leading budget preparation, cost control, and financial reporting activities.
• Managing procurement processes, including technical evaluation of suppliers, contract negotiation, and subcontractor coordination.
• Ensuring full compliance with company QHSE standards and promoting a strong safety culture across all project phases.
• Supporting project commissioning and handover to the O&M team, ensuring operational readiness and documentation completeness.
• Mentoring junior engineers and contributing to the continuous improvement of internal processes and project methodologies.

What you bring to the role:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Civil Engineering (or a related field).
• Proven experience (typically 5+ years) in project engineering or project management within renewable energy or infrastructure projects.
• Strong expertise in project planning, risk management, and stakeholder coordination.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Good knowledge of Italian and English (written and spoken).
• Advanced knowledge of MS Office; familiarity with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera) is highly desirable.
