We are currently looking for a Senior Project Cost Controller to join our Finance General Division, based in Berlin, Germany, to oversee project setup, budgeting, forecasting, revenue recognition, variance analysis, and reporting.
Your role will encompass:

Work side-by-side with Project Managers and serve as the Finance Representative on project teams.

Follows up on Projects’ budget and reports about their Financial performance and progress.

Reviews all costs to date and accrued commitments monthly and endure accuracy and completeness

Preparing revenue projections and forecasting overhead expenditure if/when needed.

Assisting the Country Finance Manager and the Controllers with preparing and monitoring budgets.

Keeps up to date all actual Projects’ costs incurred, and provides monthly rolling forecasts reports, noting any variance to the budget.

Cash management of the project, and accurate cash flow forecasting

Prepare payments for vendors in cooperation with Project Managers.

Prepare and submit project’s Weekly/monthly progress reports, financial dashboards, or other reports as required

Maintaining and reconciling balance sheet and general ledger accounts.

Assisting the Country Finance Manager with annual audit activities.

Investigating and resolving audit findings, account discrepancies, and issues of non-compliance.
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting and/or Finance.
- 5 years of relevant experience (preferably in the Renewables and/or Construction industry - EPC).
- Financial reporting experience under IFRS and familiarity with key accounting judgements for engineering services businesses and accounting for long-term projects.
- Excellent use of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel & Power Point.
- Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Advanced stakeholder management skills
- Excellent use of English Language
- Critical and analytical thinking paired with can-do attitude.
