We are currently looking for a VPP PLC Developer to join Joule, our new energy software company, part of our Integrated Energy Utility Division, based in Paiania.
By joining this role, you will contribute to the development and integration of automation and control solutions supporting Virtual Power Plant (VPP), SCADA, renewable energy, and distributed energy systems.
Your Role Will Encompass:
- Developing and maintaining PLC applications, Industrial PCs, and edge devices for monitoring and control of renewable energy assets.
- Implementing control logic, alarm handling, data acquisition, and remote-control functions according to project requirements.
- Configuring and troubleshooting industrial communication interfaces and integrating meters, protection relays, inverters, controllers, and other field devices.
- Supporting testing, commissioning, troubleshooting, and technical issue resolution across project deployments.
- Collaborating with SCADA engineers, field technicians, project managers, and software developers to deliver reliable and scalable automation solutions.
What You Bring to the Role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Automation Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field, with 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Solid knowledge of PLC programming, industrial automation, digital and analog signals, and electrical control systems.
- Familiarity with industrial communication protocols such as Modbus TCP/RTU, IEC 60870-5-104, DNP3, or OPC UA.
- Good understanding of industrial networking concepts, including IP addressing, routing, switches, firewalls, VPNs, and ports.
- Experience with SCADA, VPP, renewable energy, solar PV, BESS, remote telemetry, or field commissioning will be considered an asset.
