As a Grid Connection Engineer, you will plan, develop, and implement design principles; execute design tasks; solve technical problems; and provide support to ensure the timely completion of work that meets current and anticipated needs. You will conduct or review studies and implement technical requirements and designs for assigned projects.
Your role will encompass:
- Executes design tasks and workflows and collaborates with other process teams to ensure the successful and timely delivery of technical due diligence for HV substations.
- Reviews electrical design deliverables for HV substations. Ensure that EPC or external engineering firms design packages align with grid code requirements, utility specifications and contractual requirements
- Reviews grid codes, utility standards, and connection requirements
- Participates in the review and preparation of technical requirements for equipment RFQs and contributes to the technical evaluation of vendor offers.
- Participate in drafting the scope of works and supports in project budget estimation for HV projects during tender phase.
- Provide technical support during project development and project construction for all aspects related to the grid connection
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 1+ years of experience in an similar positiοn
- Knowledge of Autocad and DIgSILENT PowerFactory software
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel)
- Fluency in English is essential
- Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
