Job Description: 

We are currently looking for a Procurement Manager to join our Procurement Division.  

We are looking for an experienced Procurement Manager – Projects Execution to join our Global Procurement team and take a key leadership role in the execution of procurement activities across an assigned portfolio of international projects in the Renewable Energy (RES), Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and Grid Infrastructure sectors.

Reporting to the Head of Procurement, the Procurement Manager will lead and oversee the Procurement Supervisors within the assigned regions, ensuring consistent procurement practices, effective project delivery and alignment with METLEN’s global Procurement strategy.

The role will work closely with the Procurement Operations Manager and Supply Chain & Sustainability Manager, contributing to an integrated and high-performing global Procurement organization.

Your Role will encompass:

  • Lead and oversee procurement execution across assigned regions and project portfolios.
  • Manage, guide and support Procurement Supervisors, ensuring consistent standards and ways of working across regions.
  • Ensure procurement execution is aligned with global Procurement strategy, policies, project requirements and business priorities.
  • Maintain visibility of key procurement milestones, priorities, risks and deliverables across the assigned portfolio.
  • Support Procurement Supervisors in resolving complex project, supplier, commercial and contractual matters.
  • Coordinate procurement priorities and resource requirements across projects and regions.
  • Identify procurement risks and bottlenecks and ensure timely mitigation and escalation of critical matters.
  • Act as a senior Procurement interface with Project Management and other key internal stakeholders.
  • Monitor procurement execution performance and provide consolidated portfolio-level reporting.
  • Promote collaboration, knowledge sharing and continuous improvement across regional procurement teams.
  • Collaborate closely with Procurement Operations and Supply Chain to ensure effective coordination across the Procurement function.

 

What you Bring to the Role:

  • Master’s degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement or a related field.
  • Minimum 7 years of professional experience in procurement and project execution, preferably within an international, project-driven environment.
  • Experience in Renewable Energy (RES), BESS, Grid Infrastructure or other large-scale energy/infrastructure projects will be considered a strong advantage.
  • Proven experience in leading procurement teams and managing activities across multiple projects and/or regions.
  • Strong understanding of sourcing, supplier management, commercial negotiations and contractual principles.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and operate effectively in a complex, international organization.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder management and decision-making skills.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation capabilities.
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to identify risks, priorities and improvement opportunities.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages will be considered an advantage
