We are currently looking for a Site Manager to join our M Renewables team in Italy for the construction of utility-scale solar projects. 

Site-based role to lead on-site execution for the MV Substation and MV Interconnecting Line within a utility-scale solar PV project. You will work within a structured project team (PM, Engineering, HSE, QA/QC, commissioning partners).

Your role will encompass: 

1) Site Delivery (Substation + Line)

• Review and manage Scope of Work, IFC drawings, BOQ/BOM, method statements and ITPs.
• Supervise construction for:
• Substation civil works (earthworks, foundations, trenches/duct banks, plinths, fencing, roads, drainage).
• Substation electrical works (MV switchgear/RMU, transformer(s) if applicable, protection & control, AC/DC auxiliaries, batteries/UPS, lighting, earthing, cable installation/terminations).
• SCADA/telecom & signals (RTU/comms/FO where applicable).
• MV interconnecting line (route readiness, trenching/ducting, cable laying/stringing, joints/terminations, crossings, reinstatement).
• Coordinate subcontractors/site engineers; verify manpower, equipment, productivity, and quality.

2) Quality, Testing & Close-Out

• Implement Quality Plans/ITPs; manage inspections, punch list, NCRs and close-out.
• Coordinate functional tests (protection/interlocks/auxiliaries/SCADA/telecom) and line tests (as applicable) and support documentation for energization/hand-over.

3) Interfaces & Logistics

• Report progress/risks to the Project Manager; support interfaces with Client/DL/CSE and grid stakeholders (where in scope).
• Track material receipts, storage/preservation/traceability; coordinate deliveries with Procurement/Logistics and manage site facilities as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years as Site Manager/Construction Manager on substations and/or MV/HV infrastructure (MV lines, switchgear, protection, commissioning exposure).
• Electrical Engineering degree preferred (or equivalent strong field experience).
• Able to read electrical drawings (SLD, layouts, cable schedules) with solid QA/QC discipline.
• MS Office + AutoCAD (MS Project/Primavera is a plus).
• Strong leadership and subcontractor management; fluent Italian and English; willing to work on site.
