We have an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Accountant who is interested in building your career in renewables and contributing to a more sustainable future to join our Finance team. Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will support end-to-end accounting for Australian operations, with responsibility for designated solar farm projects and broader corporate reporting activities, including accounts payable.

Your key responsibilities will include
- Assist with accounting for solar farm revenue and costs, including general ledger maintenance.
- Manage accounts payable activities, enter invoices into Xero and prepare weekly payment listings with supporting documentation.
- Ensuring proper approvals are received for all expenditure
- Analyse monthly solar farm performance against budget and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
- Maintain cash flow spreadsheets of past and forecast transactions..
- Reconcile intercompany balances with local and overseas subsidiaries.
- Liaise with external accountants, asset managers and auditors.
- Support payroll administration and BAS, ATO and FBT reporting in line with company policies and regulatory obligations.
- Assist with corporate reporting, wider finance team coverage and general office administration as required.
- Using finance systems including Xero, OneCore, ApprovalMax and Flexipurchase.
About you
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- A degree or diploma in accounting or finance, or be currently studying towards a relevant qualification.
- Previous experience in anr accounting role.
- Strong Excel skills and exposure to Xero or similar accounting system.
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining accurate accounting records.
- Good organisational skills, with the ability to manage priorities and meet payment and reporting deadlines.
- A collaborative approach and confidence working with internal and external stakeholders.
