We are currently looking for a QA/QC Engineer – Electrical to join our UK team, within the Thermal Power & HVDC Division of Metlen Energy & Metals. This is a UK-wide search, and we welcome applications from suitable candidates based across the country.
About the role
You will support the successful delivery of projects by ensuring all electrical works meet quality, safety, and compliance standards, working closely with site and QA/QC teams.
Key responsibilities

Ensure compliance with project HSE and quality standards

Support the Site QA/QC Manager on all quality-related matters

Implement and maintain Project Quality Plans, ITPs, and procedures

Monitor inspections and maintain accurate quality records and RFIs
-
Inspect electrical materials, equipment, and installations
-
Verify cable installation, terminations, and major equipment (transformers, switchgear, panels)

Perform electrical testing (loop checks, continuity, insulation resistance)

Ensure correct calibration of instruments and inspection tools

Participate in walkdowns, punch list tracking, and handover documentation
What we’re looking for

5–7 years’ QA/QC experience in electrical projects (Power Plants or O&G)

Engineering degree or relevant technical training

Experience with completion systems and project handover processes

Knowledge of high-voltage installations and hazardous area (ATEX) inspections
-
Strong understanding of electrical and instrumentation standards (BS/IEC/ISO/API)

Good MS Office skills and excellent English communication
