We are looking for an experienced O&M Technician to join our Operations & Maintenance team, supporting the safe, reliable, and efficient performance of our solar PV and BESS assets.

As part of our team, you'll play a key role in maintaining and improving our electrical infrastructure while ensuring the highest standards of safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Your role will encompass:

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance across LV and HV electrical networks.
• Provide hands-on technical support for maintenance and improvement works across operational sites.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with the company's Electrical Safety Rules (ESRs) and relevant industry standards.
• Perform fault finding, testing, diagnosis, and repairs on DC and LV systems, including circuit protection.
• Maintain accurate records of scheduled and reactive maintenance activities, whether completed internally or by contractors.
• Prepare in-house Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for LV maintenance activities.
• Support the development and continuous improvement of maintenance procedures and best practices.
• Coordinate with specialist contractors and suppliers where additional expertise is required.
• Supervise contractor activities to ensure work is delivered safely, efficiently, and to the required quality standards.
• Complete all required documentation, including timesheets, labour returns, expenses, and material records.
• Work closely with the Operations Management team and site personnel to resolve day-to-day operational issues.
• Undertake Electrical Site Technician responsibilities across operational renewable energy sites.
• Prepare and submit LV switching schedules in line with agreed maintenance and project programmes.
• Champion a strong Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) culture and contribute ideas for continuous improvement.
• Identify opportunities for operational improvements and training needs, providing constructive feedback to management.

What you bring to the role:

• A background in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Qualified Electrician status.
• At least 3 years' experience working as a field technician within solar PV, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), or other renewable energy projects.
• Strong knowledge of electrical systems, solar PV installations, and mechanical equipment.
• Experience working on DC and LV systems, including fault diagnosis and circuit protection.
• Current industry-recognised HV Authorised Person certification (AP2/AP3 or equivalent).
• Experience using electrical test equipment, including fault finding, insulation resistance (IR), and VLF testing.
• Experience in renewable energy Operations & Maintenance or construction environments.
• Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
