Metlen Energy and Metals is seeking an Accountant to support our M Renewables Division in London. Reporting to the Finance Manager, this role will work closely with the finance and controlling teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, effective cash flow management, and compliance with accounting standards across several legal entities.
Key Responsibilities
• Perform accounting activities, including booking disbursements and cash receipts.
• Monitor receivables and payables and reconcile bank statements for multiple group legal entities.
• Prepare and process payments across various e-banking platforms.
• Participate in cash flow recording activities (actuals) within the group to ensure accurate and timely cash flow analysis.
• Collaborate with financial controlling teams to ensure timely recording of cash inflows and outflows.
• Assist the Country Finance Manager and Controllers in monitoring budgets.
• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet and general ledger accounts.
• Support the Country Finance Manager with annual audit activities.
• Investigate and resolve audit findings, account discrepancies, and compliance issues in cooperation with the Country Finance Manager.
Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 5+ years of accounting experience, preferably within an international environment.
• Prior experience within the Renewables and/or EPC construction industry will be considered a strong advantage.
• Solid accounting and tax knowledge including VAT, withholding tax, and CIT.
• Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet both internal and external reporting deadlines while ensuring IFRS compliance.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• SAP knowledge is required.
