We are currently looking for a Senior HSE Systems & Compliance Specialist to join our MRES-ET team in Renewables division based in Athens.
As a Senior HSE Systems & Compliance Specialist, you will define and continuously improve HSE procedures and management systems, ensuring compliance with legal and corporate requirements, and to drive their consistent implementation across all projects through HSE Area Managers. The role provides governance, direction and assurance, ensuring HSE requirements are effectively applied and that the management system is consistenly implemented and verified across all sites.
Your role will encompass:
- Develop and continuously enhance HSE management systems, standards and procedures, ensuring alignment with corporate requirements and ISO best practices and enabling consistent implementation across all projects
- Monitor HSE legal and regulatory requirements, ensuring timely integration into company systems and full compliance across all operations in Greece
- Establish and execute a risk-based HSE audit and assurance program, identifying systemic gaps and ensuring effective corrective actions are implemented across projects
- Provide governance oversight and expert guidance to HSE Area Managers and Project Teams, ensuring consistent interpretation, enforcement and application of HSE standards and non-negotiable requirements
- Analyse incident trends, audit findings, lessons learned and systemic gaps and translate these into actional improvement plans
What you bring to the role:
- University Degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- 5+ years of proven HSE experience, preferably in construction, infrastructure, or renewable energy
- Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, risk management, audits, and compliance
- In-depth knowledge of Greek HSE legislation and regulatory requirements
- Experience in developing and implementing HSE procedures, standards, and management systems
- Experience in incident investigation, root cause analysis, and corrective action planning
- Strong analytical, organisational, and stakeholder management skills
- Excellent communication skills and proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Fluency in English
