We are currently looking for a Procurement Expediting Engineer to join our Thermal Power and HVDV Division in our offices in Athens.
Your role will encompass:
- Implementation of project execution strategies for packages/components/equipment/services for large-scale, complex energy projects, in collaboration with project stakeholders.
- Collaboration with cross-functional teams, such as project managers, department heads, and finance, to understand supplies/equipment needs and align strategies with organizational goals.
- Contract follow-up and management.
- Communication with site partners and colleagues to support on-site activities.
- Support in project management (e.g. preparing presentations, attending meetings with clients).
- Coordination of project procurement and post-procurement activities — providing an overview of procurement both at the office and on site, ensuring execution and verifying procurement needs.
- Support in supplier evaluation and selection processes, considering factors such as cost, quality, reliability, delivery timelines, and compliance with company policies and regulations.
- Development and maintenance of strong relationships with suppliers, fostering effective partnerships.
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering
- 2+ years’ experience in the engineering field (procurement, contracts/tender, sales, engineering, commissioning roles).
- Experience in procurement practices and vendor evaluation will be an asset.
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Excellent verbal and written communication in English language
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to cooperate in constantly changing working conditions
