We are currently looking for a Procurement Expediting Engineer to join our Project Management team  for the construction of a CCGT Project in Poland  as part of the Thermal Power & HVDC division of Metlen , based  in our offices in Paiania.  

Your role will encompass: 

The implementation of procurement strategies for packages/components intended for large scale, complex energy projects in collaboration with project stakeholders   
Prepare and issue RFQs (Requests for Quotation) and analyze suppliers’ offers 
Support supplier evaluation and selection processes, considering factors like cost, quality, reliability, and compliance with company policies and regulations 
Negotiating contracts and terms with suppliers to secure favorable agreements while mitigating risks 
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as engineering, project management, quality and finance 
Monitor supplier performance and maintain strong supplier relationships 
Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers and evaluate their capabilities to meet project needs 

What you bring to the role: 

Bachelor degree in Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent. 
1+ years’ experience within the industrial sector (procurement, project management, construction, engineering/design roles). 
Experience in procurement practices and vendor evaluation will be an asset. 
Ability to prioritize tasks, and work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. 
Strong organizational and analytical skills. 
Proficiency in MS Office. 
Excellent verbal and written communication in English language. 
Good communication and teamwork abilities. 
Willingness and ability to travel for short-term business trips, when required.
