We are currently looking for a Tax Compliance Lead to join our ΗQ Tax & Incentives department in Athens, Greece. By joining this role, you will play a key role in ensuring full compliance with corporate tax obligations and supporting strategic tax initiatives across our operations. The role is reporting to the Senior Group Tax & Incentives Director.
Your role will encompass:

Prepare and submit of Greek Corporate Income Tax (CIT) returns of Metlen SA and its Greek subsidiaries.

Prepare and review of current and deferred tax calculations and notes of the Greek group entities for FS publication on an annual and semi-annual basis.

Manage CIT audits conducted by tax authorities.

Handle all communications with tax auditors in the context of the tax certification process.

Provide tax advisory support to business units on day-to-day operations, contracts, and significant transactions or restructurings.

Monitor of Greek CIT developments (legislative updates, interpretative guidelines, case law) affecting company’s CIT position and communication to the relevant stakeholders.

Identify opportunities to streamline tax reporting processes and improve efficiency.
What you bring to the role:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field. Professional certifications are considered an asset.

A’ class accountant signature.

10+ years of progressive experience in similar roles.

Excellent knowledge of Greek taxation and good knowledge of IFRS.

Excellent knowledge of MS Office and navigation of ERP systems (SAP).

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and excellent organizational skills with attention to detail.

Effective communication and leadership skills and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
