Global Real Estate & Facilities Manager

Job Description: 

 

We are currently looking for a Global Real Estate & Facilities Management (RE&FM) Manager to join our team in Athens, Greece and play a key role in shaping and executing the Group’s global real estate and facilities strategy. 

In this strategic and operational role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing the global office portfolio, ensuring cost efficiency, operational excellence, and high-quality service delivery across all locations. You will also contribute to aligning real estate and facilities management initiatives with broader business objectives. 

 

Your role will encompass: 

  • Real Estate Portfolio Management: 
    Oversee and optimize the global office portfolio, ensuring efficient space utilization and alignment with business needs. Manage lease agreements, including negotiations, renewals, and terminations, while supporting office relocations and expansion initiatives. 

  • Cost Management & Financial Oversight: 
    Analyze and monitor real estate and facilities costs (leases, OPEX, CAPEX), providing insights and recommendations for cost optimization. Develop and manage budgets, track financial performance, and ensure effective cost control and benchmarking. 

  • Facilities Management Operations: 
    Supervise all facilities management services (maintenance, cleaning, security, utilities), ensuring high service standards and operational continuity. Establish and monitor SLAs and KPIs to drive service quality and performance. 

  • Vendor & Stakeholder Management: 
    Manage relationships with global suppliers, contractors, landlords, and advisors, ensuring effective service delivery and contract performance. Collaborate with internal stakeholders (HR, IT, Business Units) to address evolving workplace needs. 

  • Projects & Workplace Strategy: 
    Lead and coordinate real estate and FM projects, including fit-outs, renovations, and relocations, ensuring delivery on time, within budget, and at the required quality standards. Contribute to workplace strategy initiatives such as hybrid work models and space optimization. 

  • Compliance, HSE & Sustainability: 
    Ensure compliance with local and international regulations, including Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) standards. Monitor energy performance and drive sustainability initiatives across the portfolio. 

  • Governance & Reporting: 
    Develop and implement global RE&FM policies, procedures, and governance frameworks. Provide regular reporting on costs, performance, and KPIs to senior management. 

 

What you bring to the role: 

  • Academic Background: 
    Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Real Estate, Business Administration, or a related field. 

  • Professional Experience: 
    8+ years of experience in Facilities Management, Real Estate, or related roles within a multi-site or international environment, including vendor and contract management, portfolio management, and project delivery. Experience in global organizations is considered a strong advantage. 

  • Financial & Analytical Skills: 
    Strong ability to analyze costs, manage budgets (OPEX/CAPEX), and provide data-driven recommendations. 

  • Leadership & Organizational Skills: 
    Strong organizational capabilities with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Proven ability to lead and develop teams. 

  • Mobility: 
    Ability to travel internationally as required.
