The position works closely with project, technical, legal, HR, and external stakeholders to ensure financial discipline, transparency, and effective risk management across long-term engineering projects.
Your role will encompass:
- Monitor and control the financial performance of EPC projects, including P&L, cash flow, actual vs. budget analysis, and forecast monitoring.
- Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, cash flows, forecasts, and other relevant financial reports.
- Participate in project budgeting activities, working closely with technical and project teams.
- Contribute to contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors, with a focus on financial and commercial aspects.
- Ensure the accurate and timely recording of financial results, in compliance with local accounting standards and IFRS.
- Manage the follow-up and closure of finance audit recommendations, including preparation, implementation, and monitoring of corrective action plans.
- Ensure timely and smooth compliance with local tax authorities and applicable fiscal regulations.
- Manage interactions with the company’s banks, including account maintenance, payments, collections, and foreign currency transactions.
- Participate in financial and tax due diligence processes related to the acquisition or disposal of projects.
- Coordinate financial and administrative matters with local authorities, collaborating with legal and technical teams.
- Support labour-related and legal matters in cooperation with HR and Legal.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of finance processes, controls, and reporting practices.
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and Finance.
A Master’s Degree will be considered an asset. - At least 10 years of professional experience (7+ years of relevant experience plus 3+ years in senior responsibilities).
Experience in construction and/or renewable energy sectors is considered an asset. - Proven experience in people management.
- Strong financial reporting experience under IFRS, including familiarity with key accounting judgments related to engineering services businesses and long-term projects.
- Solid knowledge of project controlling, cash flow management, and financial forecasting.
- Experience dealing with auditors, banks, tax authorities, and external advisors.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to operate effectively in project-driven, fast-paced EPC environments.
- Clear communication skills and the ability to interact with technical and non-financial stakeholders.
