We are currently looking for a Environmental Supervisor professional to join our Metlen Renewables Division in the UK. This role supports the EPC team by providing specialist environmental oversight across construction activities. The Environmental Supervisor plays a key role in identifying contamination of land, air or water and assessing potential environmental impacts, as well as advising on and implementing mitigation and remediation solutions. The position requires strong analytical skills to collect, interpret and validate environmental data, ensure compliance with environmental legislation, and support sustainable construction practices. 

Your role will encompass: 

• LeIdentify contamination of land, air or water, assess its severity and determine any actual or potential adverse environmental impacts.
• Advise on and develop solutions to mitigate environmental impacts and contamination, ensuring sustainable and practical approaches.
• Implement or oversee environmental remediation works, ensuring corrective actions are effective and compliant.
•  Conduct environment-related desk research and fieldwork to collect, analyse and interpret environmental data, assessing its validity, quality and significance.
• Carry out or support environmental audits and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs). 
• Communicate scientific, technical and environmental information through reports, presentations, workshops, toolbox talks, public hearings or educational sessions.
• Support the EPC team and wider organisation to conduct activities in an environmentally responsible and compliant manner. 
• Implement, review and advise on environmental regulatory requirements, including legislative standards, guidelines, policies and permit conditions.
• Provide professional guidance to clients, regulatory authorities, government bodies and other stakeholders. 
• Prepare and review management plans such as CEMPs, SWMPs, and other environmental documentation. 
• Conduct site-based monitoring (water, noise, vibration, dust) and sampling.
• Investigate environmental incidents, near misses and non-conformities.
• Complete environmental audits and inspections and manage corrective actions.
• Support development and review of RAMS and ensure appropriate environmental controls are implemented.
• Advise on environmental training needs and deliver inductions and toolbox talks.
• Liaise with clients, regulators, authorities and stakeholders.
• Promote a positive environmental and safety culture. 

What you bring to the role:

• Mandatory construction experience (minimum 1-2 years’ experience).
•  Experience in energy related projects is considered an advantage.
• Level 6 in Environmental Management or related subject.
• Knowledge and experience of environmental and sustainability managements systems, such as ISO 14001.
•  High capacity for new learning and enthusiastic approach to tasks.
• Interest in the renewables sector.
• Proactive approach and work ethic
•  Self-motivated, team player · IT skills (MS office).
• Driving License.
