We are currently looking for an Energy OT Network Engineer to join our Energy Technology Division, based in Paiania, Greece. 

As part of our team, you will play a pivotal role in designing and implementing secure, resilient and supportable OT network architectures across METLEN’s Energy assets and EPC projects. You will turn OT cybersecurity architecture into secure connectivity through segmentation, firewalling, remote access, hardening and site remediation. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Energy business units, engineering, IT, the CISO organization and external partners to align execution with business priorities and operational needs.

Your role will encompass: 

• Designing and documenting secure OT network architectures for OT assets (PV, Wind, Hydro, BESS, Hybrid, Thermal),  and EPC environments across the world. 

• Implementing and maintaining network segmentation, industrial DMZs, firewall policies, secure remote access and controlled data flows. 

• Reviewing network designs, configurations and bills of materials to ensure compliance with OT cybersecurity standards and project requirements. 

• Performing configuration reviews, hardening, troubleshooting and remediation of industrial switches, routers, firewalls and related infrastructure. 

• Supporting FAT/SAT, commissioning, handover and change activities with network security tests, evidence and updated as-built documentation. 

• Coordinating connectivity and integration with SCADA, historians, plant controllers, OEM platforms, IT services and OT monitoring solutions. 

• Maintaining OT network diagrams, configuration baselines, backup and recovery arrangements and approved access paths. 

• Supporting vulnerability assessments and incident investigations involving OT networks, communications and remote connections. 

• Collaborating with clients, site engineers, EPC teams, IT networking, CISO, vendors and integrators to resolve technical dependencies and risks. 

• Compliance with NIS2, Cybersecurity frameworks, ISO 27001 and other country legislation 

What you bring to the role: 

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Network Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Automation, Computer Science or a related field. 

• 3+ years of experience in network engineering, with relevant exposure to OT/ICS or industrial environments. 

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs, network segmentation and secure remote access. 

• Understanding of industrial protocols and systems such as Modbus TCP, DNP3, IEC 60870-5-104, OPC UA, SCADA and plant controllers. 

• Experience with network design documentation, configuration management, troubleshooting and commissioning. 

• Knowledge of ISA/IEC 62443 network architecture concepts and OT security good practices. 

• Relevant certifications such as CCNA/CCNP, PCNSE, Fortinet NSE, IEC 62443 or equivalent are considered a plus. 

• Ability to work safely in operational sites and coordinate effectively with engineering, IT and external vendors.
