About the Role
We have an exciting opportunity for an Electrical Works Coordinator to join our team.
Location: Site based
Contract Type: Full time, fixed term
Reporting to the Project Manager, you will assist with coordinating, the electrical works and implementing and documenting Metlen’s Quality Management System on site.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Assisting site management (site management and supervisors) to coordinate day‑to‑day electrical construction activities including cabling, earthing, inverter stations, substations, and balance‑of‑plant electrical works
- Assist with planning, sequencing and monitoring of electrical works to align with the overall construction schedule
- Coordinate labour resources (direct and subcontract) and assist with onboarding, inductions and verification of competencies and qualifications
- Support the coordination of materials, equipment and plant to ensure availability in line with construction programs
- Assist in the delivery of the project Quality Management System on the project site as directed by the Site Quality Lead or QA/QC Officer
- Assist with overseeing construction subcontractor’s activities on site to ensure quality compliance
- Record the conformity of construction activities with specifications, plans, laws and regulations
- Provide support, advice and training to Site personnel in quality related matters
- Support the receipt inspection/reporting for all equipment and materials arriving to site
- Liaising with the site Subcontractor's quality and procurement representatives as required
- Assisting in inventory management and acceptance
- Support the Site Quality Lead or QA/QC Officer to ensure the compliance and availability of the Final Documentation (as built drawings, quality records, etc) for O&M
- Represent the Quality function of Metlen during site activities when requested by the Site Quality Lead or QA/QC Officer
- Contribute to the identification of lessons learned and further development and improvement of future project processes
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Trade or tertiary qualification preferred, with experience within energy, construction, mining & resources, or infrastructure
- Exposure to site construction and/or operation and maintenance issues.
- Strong communication, analytical and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized with attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication, organisation, and proactivity skills
