Job Description: 

 

About the Role

The Expeditor is responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and expediting the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and supplier documentation required for the successful execution of the EGL1 project. Working closely with procurement, logistics, engineering, suppliers, and site teams, the Expeditor will proactively identify potential delays, drive supplier performance, and ensure that project schedules are achieved.

 

Your role will encompass: 

  • Monitor supplier progress against purchase order requirements and delivery schedules.
  • Maintain regular communication with suppliers to ensure manufacturing, testing, documentation, and delivery milestones are achieved.
  • Identify potential delays and risks to material deliveries and implement recovery plans where required.
  • Coordinate with Procurement, Engineering, QA/QC, Logistics, and Construction teams to ensure alignment of priorities.
  • Track and report the status of all critical materials, equipment, and vendor documentation.
  • Ensure supplier documentation such as drawings, certifications, inspection reports, and test records are submitted in line with project requirements.
  • Attend supplier meetings, progress reviews, and expediting visits as required.
  • Support logistics planning by confirming readiness for shipment and delivery to project sites.
  • Produce weekly and monthly expediting reports highlighting progress, risks, and mitigation actions.
  • Escalate critical issues affecting project schedule or delivery commitments.
  • Maintain accurate records within project procurement and material management systems.

 

What you bring to the role: 

Essential

  • Previous experience in an Expeditor, Procurement Coordinator, Materials Coordinator, Supply Chain Coordinator, or Project Controls role within a construction, infrastructure, energy, utilities, oil & gas, or EPC environment.
  • Experience monitoring supplier performance and delivery schedules.
  • Strong understanding of procurement, manufacturing, logistics, and material management processes.
  • Ability to interpret project schedules and understand the impact of delivery delays.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.

 Desirable

  • Experience working on large-scale power transmission, renewable energy, HVDC, substations, or major infrastructure projects.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as SAP.
  • Knowledge of quality assurance processes, inspections, and supplier documentation management.
  • Experience conducting supplier visits and performance reviews.
