We are seeking an experienced and results-oriented Country Finance Manager to oversee the financial management and reporting activities of our operations in Croatia. The role requires strong financial leadership, close collaboration with cross-functional teams, and the ability to support project performance and compliance within a dynamic international environment.
Your role will encompass:
- Monitoring the financial performance of projects (P&L, cash flow, actual vs. budget), ensuring accuracy, transparency, and financial control
- Preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual management accounts, cash flow reports, forecasts, and other key financial reports
- Supporting the preparation of project budgets in close collaboration with technical and project management teams
- Participating in contract negotiations with clients and subcontractors on financial and commercial matters
- Ensuring accurate and timely recording of financial results in compliance with local regulations and IFRS standards
- Following up on finance audit findings and supporting the implementation and monitoring of corrective action plans
- Ensuring smooth and timely compliance with local tax authorities and statutory requirements
- Managing relationships with local banks, including account maintenance, payments, receipts, and foreign currency transactions
- Supporting financial and tax due diligence processes related to the acquisition or disposal of projects
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (Master’s degree will be considered an asset)
- At least 10 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within the construction and/or energy sectors
- Solid knowledge of accounting principles, general chart of accounts, tax matters, and financial reporting under IFRS
- Experience working in international environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills
- Excellent command of English (both written and spoken) and advanced knowledge of MS Office; familiarity with SAP will be considered an asset
- Proven experience in people management with strong communication and teamwork capabilities
