Job Description: 

 

 

We are currently looking for a Project Financial Controller (Junior) to join our Renewables & Thermal Power finance team in Romania. In this role, you will support the financial management and performance monitoring of major energy projects, working closely with Project Managers and the Finance team to ensure accurate reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial control throughout the project lifecycle. 

 

 

Your role will encompass: 

  • Supporting the financial management of renewable and thermal power projects in collaboration with Project Managers and cross-functional teams. 

  • Monitoring project budgets, costs, and financial performance, while preparing variance analyses and identifying potential financial risks. 

  • Assisting with project cash flow management, including cash flow forecasting, cost tracking, and monitoring vendor payments. 

  • Participating in the preparation of monthly financial reports, management dashboards, and project performance updates. 

  • Supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities throughout the project lifecycle. 

  • Assisting with month-end closing activities and ensuring the accuracy of project financial data. 

  • Supporting compliance with internal financial controls, corporate policies, and IFRS reporting requirements. 

  • Providing financial analysis and reporting support to the Country Finance Manager and other key stakeholders. 

 

 

What you bring to the role: 

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field (Master's degree is considered an asset). 

  • Approximately 2+ years of professional experience in Finance, Financial Controlling, Project Finance, or Accounting, preferably within construction, infrastructure, EPC, or energy projects. 

  • Good understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and project cost control principles. 

  • Knowledge of IFRS and accounting for long-term projects will be considered an asset. 

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; SAP knowledge is considered an advantage. 

  • Excellent command of English, both written and spoken. 

  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail. 

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic, project-oriented environment and manage multiple priorities.
