We are seeking a motivated Bid Manager to join our Energy team part of our MRES-ET Division, based in Bucharest.
Your Role will encompass:
BID Manager is responsible to lead and coordinate bid activities within the photovoltaic (PV) sector. BID Manager is responsible for developing compelling proposals, ensuring compliance with client requirements, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to secure projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical and commercial understanding of solar energy projects and a proven track record in bid management.
- Lead the bid preparation process from initial opportunity identification to final submission, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
- Tender Evaluation: Analyse RFPs, RFQs, and tender documents, identifying key requirements, risks, and opportunities.
- Develop high-quality technical and commercial proposals in coordination with engineering, finance, legal, and procurement teams.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including partners, consultants, and suppliers, to ensure seamless bid execution.
- Work closely with the finance and engineering teams to develop competitive pricing strategies while ensuring project profitability.
- Conduct risk analysis and mitigation planning to ensure bid viability.
- Ensure all bids comply with regulatory, contractual, and technical requirements. Maintain organized bid documentation.
- Support bid presentations and contract negotiations with clients to secure project awards.
- Analyse past bid performance, gather feedback, and implement improvements in bid processes and strategies.
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in bid management, proposal development, or business development within the photovoltaic or renewable energy sector.
- Strong knowledge of solar PV technologies, EPC contracts, and project financing.
- Excellent project management skills with the ability to manage multiple bids simultaneously.
- Strong analytical skills to assess tender requirements and competitive positioning.
- Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience with large-scale solar PV projects (utility-scale, commercial, and industrial).
- Familiarity with local and international tendering processes in the renewable energy industry.
- Understanding of financial modelling and project economics in solar energy.
