We are seeking a motivated Accountant to join our Accounting team part of our Finance & MIS Division, based in Athens. This internal opportunity is ideal for those looking to expand their impact and grow within the company while continuing to contribute to our shared success.
Your role will encompass:
- Support monthly and annual closing procedures
- Perform reconciliation of financial statements to ensure accuracy and consistency across accounts
- Support internal and external audits
- Collaborate and liaise with cross-functional such as Legal and Tax departments to ensure compliance and alignment on financial matters
- Prepare and compile various ad-hoc reports and analyses for management
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls
What you bring to the role:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- More than 4 years of working experience in Accounting department or Finance
- Good knowledge of Accounting and General Chart of Accounts
- Knowledge of general ledger functions and the month-end/year end close process
- Good knowledge of MS Office with advanced Excel skills
- Knowledge of SAP (or other ERP system) will be considered as an asset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
- Completed military service obligations (where applicable)
