We are currently looking for a Buyer to join our team, based in Volos, Greece.
By joining this role, you’ll play a key role in supporting procurement operations, ensuring the efficient sourcing of materials and services, maintaining strong supplier relationships, and contributing to cost-effective and uninterrupted business operations.
Your role will encompass:
• Managing procurement processes, including RFQs, bid evaluations, and purchase order issuance.
• Negotiating pricing, commercial terms, and delivery schedules with suppliers.
• Developing and maintaining relationships with local and international suppliers.
• Collaborating with Engineering, Production, and Quality teams to meet technical and operational requirements.
• Monitoring supplier performance and managing deviations.
• Supporting cost control initiatives and implementing procurement optimization actions.
• Ensuring compliance with contracts, specifications, and applicable regulations.
• Monitoring and coordinating purchase orders through to final delivery, ensuring smooth material flow.
• Managing and reviewing procurement documentation and supporting international sourcing activities in cooperation with external partners.
• Contributing to the continuous improvement of procurement processes and supplier performance.
Your responsibilities:
• Taking commercial and procurement decisions in coordination with supervisors and internal stakeholders.
• Contributing to procurement efficiency and supplier performance.
• Supporting cost reduction and procurement optimization initiatives.
• Building and maintaining effective supplier relationships.
• Managing multiple procurement streams simultaneously (suppliers, purchase orders, deliveries, and parallel projects).
• Ensuring timely availability of materials and services according to operational requirements.
• Supporting compliance with procurement procedures, contractual obligations, and company standards.
• Meeting project timelines and delivery deadlines.
What you bring to the role:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–4 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the defense or metal fabrication industry.
• Excellent command of English, both written and spoken.
• Strong negotiation skills and commercial mindset.
• Good understanding of supply chain processes and technical requirements.
• Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g. SAP).
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• High attention to detail and professional approach.
