We are currently looking for a Welding Inspector to join our team, based in Volos, Greece.
By joining this role, you’ll play a key role in supporting welding and fabrication quality control activities, ensuring compliance with approved procedures, applicable standards, customer specifications, and contractual requirements while contributing to the delivery of high-quality and reliable products.
Your role will encompass:
• Performing visual and dimensional inspections of welded assemblies to verify compliance with approved drawings, welding procedures, and quality requirements.
• Monitoring welding and fabrication activities to ensure adherence to applicable standards and customer specifications.
• Supporting non-destructive testing (NDT) activities, including inspection coordination, execution follow-up, and evaluation of inspection results.
• Reviewing welding documentation, inspection reports, and quality records to ensure completeness and compliance.
• Identifying, documenting, and reporting welding non-conformities.
• Supporting root cause investigations and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to prevent recurrence of quality issues.
• Collaborating with Production, Engineering, Quality Control, and NDT personnel to resolve technical and quality-related issues.
• Verifying compliance with welding procedures, inspection plans, and contractual quality requirements.
• Contributing to quality audits, process reviews, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Supporting training and awareness activities related to welding quality and inspection processes.
What you bring to the role:
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Welding Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Minimum of 3+ years of experience in welding inspection, quality control, or a similar role within an industrial or manufacturing environment.
• Good knowledge of welding processes, fabrication methods, and quality control principles.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, welding symbols, specifications, and inspection documentation.
• Familiarity with applicable welding codes, standards, and quality requirements.
• Knowledge of non-destructive testing (NDT) methods and inspection practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a production environment.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
• Ability to work effectively in a team and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
